Several Spartans took part in the end of the year celebration for our Spartan Buddies Club. This club meets throughout the school year to facilitate friendships between our general ed and special ed students. All of these students took a field trip to Main Event to kick off summer. A fun time was had by all! You can count on Spartans to be inclusive and take care of their fellow students.
Thank you for paying particular attention to our exam schedule listed below. The full schedule is posted on our website. Please contact Dr. Medrano directly if your child is absent during a scheduled exam and needs to make arrangements for a make up.
Please note the specified time for your child’s grade level award ceremony. We have lots to celebrate at SLJH and will do our very best to run right on schedule. You can help by doing the following: 1) Park behind the school in our faculty parking lot and proceed directly to the library (This will allow us to bypass issuing every person a visitor’s badge.) 2) Please stay in the library until we are ready to usher you into the cafeteria for the award’s ceremony. 3) Once your child’s ceremony is finished, please exit out the back doors of the cafeteria directly to the rear parking area so that the next group of parents can enter via the main hallway. Please leave your child at school for the full half day schedule. (This will prevent a long line of parents waiting to check out their child in the front office.) 4) If you do need to check your child out early from school, please follow the appropriate procedures and check them out officially in the main office.
The awards ceremonies are an important milestone for you and your middle school child. We look forward to seeing you here! There will be plenty of opportunities for photos in the courtyard area.

Attention Rising 9th Graders
9th Grade Off Campus PE
A request from SLHS and OTHS: Any 8th grade student wishing to do Off Campus PE as a 9th grader must turn forms in on the appropriate high school campus in August. Please do not turn them in early or at SLJH. High schools are asking all forms be turned directly into them in August. This affects very few of our students but wanted to be sure we got the work out.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF RISING 8TH GRADERS
Work is about to begin on the 8th Grade Dance for Spring 2015. We need volunteers to help plan, fundraise, decorate, and make this a memorable night for all of our kiddos! If you would like to be a part of deciding the theme, decorations, music, food, entertainment, or if you are able to donate your creative talents (sewing, painting, or carpentry) for this fun event, please email Katy Jensen, at firstname.lastname@example.org . We need as many Moms and Dads as possible if we are going to make the 8th Grade Dance of 2015 Spartantacular!!
